Garden Concerns

Does the rose area need mulch?

Can you have the cypress pots set better so that they are not tipping over?

Plant the potted fern in the front where it sits.

Why are the bouganvillea not doing better?

How is it best to prune the lemon trees in the two pots near the pool equipment area?

  1. Mulch always helps. However, the main problem is that most roses don’t do will in coastal conditions.

I wil have the crew address the cypress in the pots this friday, as well as, plant the fern.

On Friday I will check ok the Bougainvillea and let you know what I think. It might be overwatering.

Lemon trees can be prunned however. We can either thin it out or trim it to keep it compact. It is your preference.

  2. Thanks, Evan- I would like the lemon trees to be compact spheres

  3. Would you like us to mulch the rose area?

The bougainvillea is new so over watering is not the issue. They are probably going through trans plant shock. They always to this during the first year that they are in the ground.

I will have them prune the Lemons this Friday.
